Ever wondered how the electronics behind a rocket are designed? Join us over the break for a hands-on two-day workshop where you’ll design and assemble your own rocket flight recorder PCB! The flight recorder is designed to collect data during a rocket flight, using sensors such as IMUs (which measure movement and orientation), barometers, and more. 🛰️ Across the two days, working in pairs; you’ll learn the process of designing and assembling a PCB. The first day will focus on PCB design using KiCad, followed by PCB soldering and assembly on the second day. Come along, learn some hands-on electronics skills, and get experience designing hardware for real-world aerospace applications! 🚀
